People! Please be careful out there. I know we all need to work, make money, pay bills, but this blizzard is stronger and more stealthy than any of us. People are stuck in cars, trains, and buses - some with infants, some with extreme medical conditions - for hours and hours. It's well below the point of freezing so walking for refuge isn't even an option if you get stuck on the road. And, if you're stuck on the road for hours and hours, keep your tailpipe clear so the carbon monoxide doesn't build up inside your vehicle. You won't even be aware of it, and it could kill you!
If you're not in a job that actually saves lifes or gives medical assistance to others, STAY HOME.
That's my public service announcement for the day. :)

Blizzard-like Conditions? (@10:41 a.m. E.T.)
The Nor'easter we're expecting has already hit Ocean County around 9:30 a.m. today and is heading north. Make sure you're prepared and ready, folks!

Prayers for Elizabeth Edwards - R.I.P. Dec. 7, 2010

I am so deeply saddened by this news today. I thought she was a thoroughly beautiful and inspirational person inside and out. My prayers are with the family she left behind.

It’s called being human. But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. This quote is profound on so many levels, I just had to post and share it with the sole intention of inspiring people. I know we are all "only human" and we may slip up from time to time when events or people hurt us, intentional or otherwise.
